My review of this book: Ani is born as a crown princess. Her aunt teaches her how to speak to animals. Her mother finds out and sends her aunt away. When Ani turns 15 her mother sends her to Bayern to wed their prince. Ani has to travel three months in the forest. Most of her guards turn against her. She meets Gilsa and Finn who take her in and take her to the city. Ani works as the local goose girl for many months and falls in love with the prince. They kill her horse and Selin lies that Kildreehee is going to attack Bayern, but the king finds out the truth in the end. Ani and Geric live happily ever after
