I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You by Ally Carter

Genre: Realistic Fiction
Book Summary: This book was about a 15-year-old girl named Cammie Morgan who goes to Gallagher Academy for exceptional young women. Yet no one knows how exceptional they really are...
Rank (0-5): 5
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Yes
My review of this book: I really liked this book. It was funny to observe what she would get herself into, and since she was a spy, the ways she would get herself out. She also likes a boy, but in spy school, they didn't teach her anything about relationships. It shows through how awkward and funny her situations are. I would definitely recommend this book!

Then Millicent meets Emily, and Millicent begins to think that maybe she made a friend.
Rank (0-5): {___}
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Yes
My review of this book: The book Millicnet Min is a very interesting book that is just about a girl trying to fit in even though its hard for her to hid that she is a super genius. It\'s hard for just regular people to relate to this book because most people now aren\'e genius that skipped tons of grades. One thing people can relate to though is that Millicent has a hard time fitting in with people and the same thing goes for people now. This book has very interesting details and it is kinda funny. If your looking for a book to read by the pool this summer, this would be a great book.

Rank (0-5): 3
My review of this book: To me this book was okay, it wasn\'t terrible but it wasn\'t amazing. There were some parts that were exciting and some parts that were boring. I think the author isn\'t consisent in her writing for this reason. There were parts that had a lot of meaning in it and other parts that were sorta just thrown in the book. That is why I gave Holly\'s Heart: Second-Best Friend a rating of 3.

My review of this book: I thought that this book was a very well written book. It has many things that teenagers can relate too through out life. In this volume, it shows how to deal with stress with school, sports and parents. It also shows how friendships can be ruined over one guy. A main thing in this book was Hope. If you hope and wish for something, it is more likely to happen then thinking it is not going to happen. Christy Miller volume 2, is packed with a bunch of details and small stories. That is why I loved Christy Miller volume 2.

The Cats of Cuckoo Square by Adele Geras

Genre: Humor
Book Summary: There are actually two stories in this book. The second one is a little confusing, but I liked the first one. I thought there were too many characters in the second story, but I really enjoyed the first one, and it only took me a short time to read it! It was about Blossom, a cat, and Miles, a boy, and Prissy, a girl and the other cats of Cuckoo Square. Blossom and Miles attempt to get rid of Prissy because she\'s mean to Blossom (you\'ll have to read it to see what I mean by \"mean\"!). It was funny, quick to read, and I would recommend this book for 2nd to 4th graders.
Rank (0-5): 3
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Yes
My review of this book: This book had big print so it was fun and easy to read, and quick too. My mother was impressed that I finished a book so fast! The story is entertaining, it\'s fairly well written, and while I wouldn\'t recommend this book for my age, I would recommend it for younger grades.

Battle Dress by Amy Efaw

Genre: Realistic Fiction
Book Summary: Main character Andi Davis comes from a fractured home. She decides that being at West Point (far away from home) is best. Battle Dress follows her through her first year of training as a new Cadet.
Rating (0-5) : 4
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Yes
My review of this book: Battle Dress opened my view on the military. Although I still think their practices of life (name calling, short break time, no smiling) are unnecessary, I can understand where they're coming from. The journey is a metamorphical process because Andi transforms from a shy new Cadet into a confident Cadet. I enjoyed seeing the family-like relationship of the squad. It was touching to see Andi take comfort from seeing Cadet Daily's softer side. I felt proud every time Andi won an event or privilege because she proved that she was just as good as the guys-even though she struggled. This book was a great first book of the summer season!

Evan sets off to Paris with his best friends Erika and Ruben to find a man named Lubchenko, who may help them find the real murderer of Beldchek. Here they have entered a world of danger. This book isn't just about murder, it's about late nights in Paris and hotel reservations at the Ritz.

Brett's family loses everything. Brett's arrogant attitude changes when he is forced to assist his own pool cleaner for a summer job.
Rank (0-5): 3.5
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Yes
My review of this book: Pool Boy was pretty good. The lessons that Brett learns are memorable and vital, such as forgiveness and love. I liked the fact taht the book was told in first person. Pool Boy was interesting but it was rather redundant. For those of you looking for a more fast-paced book, Pool Boy might not be your favorite.

Babymouse: Rock Star by Jennifer L. Holm

Genre: Fantasy, Humor, Graphic Novel/Manga
Book Summary: A little mouse with BIG dreams, a little mouse with a very big hobby of day-dreaming, she wants to be a very well-known flutest but only one thing stands in her way...she can't play!
Rank (0-5): 4
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Yes
My review of this book: I enjoyed this book, although not as much as some of the other books I'll be reviewing, but it was a very cute book. If only it was that easy to be able to play in reality! It does take practice; you cannot just go to your "happy place" and start playing as if you have been playing your whole life. Overall, I would give it an 8.5 since it was a cute story, but something more similar to the real world would have been preferable.
