Review: I loved this book because it was very exciting and kept me hooked. I would recommend this book to teens in sixth grade and up because there is some inappropriate language. This book may seem like a spin-off of Twilight but it is not. The vampires in this book are very well characterized. I could relate to all of Zoey's friends. This book is part of the series, and the next book is titled Betrayed. I would recommend this book to all people who like fantasy with a realistic twist.

The Clouds Above by Jordan Crane

The Clouds Above by Jordan Crane

Summary: The book I read was The Clouds Above by Jordan Crane. There is this boy named Slyly with his cat Jake. Slyly was late for school so they both found a way to get inside. Slyly and Jack were almost caught by his teacher Missus Poe, so they run to the top of the school. Slyly finds a door with stairs going up, up, up, and up. When they get to the top they try walking on the clouds, which surprisingly hold them. Suddenly, they find a cloud crying because he cannot fly. So Slyly and Jack help him and succeed. They are rewarded with a ride. At the end of the story, Slyly and Jack start to fall from the sky as the cloud condenses into raindrops. Birds aid Slyly and Jack and they return to their classroom.

Review: I would recommend this book to a friend because I find it very interesting how they could walk on clouds and how the stairs were in the air yet did not fall. Also, this book is funny in some parts. I also love the pictures in this story. There is a lot of detail in the pictures which depict what is occurring in the story. I ranked this a four because it was a very cute story and a perfect book for me!

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke

Genre: Fantasy
Book Summary: This book is about how Meggie, Mortimer, Elinor, Dustfinger, and many other characters try to put an end to Capricorn while staying alive and together instead of being captured by him. It's also about how Meggie uses her voice to save her family and friends.
Rank (0-5): 5
Would you recommend this book to a friend? {Yes}
My review of this book: Most of the time when I read magic books, I think the plot is useless and the characters don't make sense. But in Inkheart, it is the complete opposite. I like how the characters are very lifelike despite where they came from and their powers. I also think that the plot was interesting and a very good idea for a fantasy genre book. I also like how the book was only boring a couple times so you wanted to keep reading.

My review of this book: The Shadow Thieves was a very exciting and suspenseful book.
